Images of Jirdarup 2021
The success of our inaugural photography competition in 2020 inspired us to do it all again. This time 643 photographs were entered, with 104 entries for the new ‘Black Cockatoos’ category (sponsored by The Hon Hannah Beazley, MLA for Victoria Park). As a bonus, we organised a Nature Photography Walk & Talk workshop in September and a special Jirdarup history display for the exhibition. The Town of Victoria Park provided an Arts Grant to assist with the 3-week exhibition and Awards Night in December 2021.
Once again, the project was popular with the local community, schools, politicians and business sponsors. The quality of photos, community participation and enthusiasm exceeded our highest hopes.
