Jirdarup’s beautiful birds need food and shelter across Victoria Park and South Perth. They like to stretch their wings. Green corridors across the suburbs are essential.
Following several recent resignations of South Perth Councillors, an extraordinary election will be held on Thursday 24 September 2026 for vacancies in the Como Ward and Moresby Ward, both of which are significant to the conservation and protection of the Kensington Bushland. As soon as candidates are announced we will be examining their positions in highlighting their commitment to the environment.

Como Ward:

We need to ensure the City’s Urban Greening Strategy is continued to be supported and brought to life by the administration. I will champion its implementation throughout our public spaces to enhance our local tree canopy and support biodiversity. |

Her family maintains trees that provide habitat for black cockatoos, strengthening her commitment to local biodiversity. Also volunteered on the Urban Greening Council, was one of three presenters, and helped present our work to Council on the final day. Protecting and growing our urban forest and tree canopy is a cause I’m genuinely committed to. |
